ANNOUNCEMENTS:
We are going to continue Children's Church (during church service) through
the summer, but we need people to help. There is a yellow sign-up sheet on
the bulletin board for dates where you can take over the lesson. We can have
a packet ready for you with coloring pages and crafts or you can do
something on your own. The children love the NIV Adventure Bible which the
church has about 6. The focus has been the books of the Bible and their
stories, but if you have another idea that is fine.
Kim Coyle is heading up an 11-14 age range youth group. There is a signup
sheet in Fellowship Hall for kids who are interested and adults or older
teens who are willing to help out. See Kim Coyle with any questions.
Our church will be participating in a packaging event at Kids Against Hunger
on Saturday, August 11th. Mark your calendars and plan on joining in this
very rewarding activity. If you would like more information, please see
Tracy Duvelius or Susan Cormany. Also, www.achildshopeintl.org or
www.HungerNoMore.us . If you like, you may also start saving a tube of
quarters to donate when we go.
The children of the Vacation Bible School kicked off their annual drive to
collect school supplies for area school children. This mission project,
started by the children, will help local children in the Little Miami and
Goshen school districts. All the stores currently have their school supplies
discounted prices. We hope you can pick up some the next time you are
shopping and bring them to church and help “fill the bus “! We will be
collecting until August 12th .
Interested in becoming a member of Pleasant Plain Presbyterian Church? A
class for those who want to know more about “joining the church” will begin
in a few weeks. If this is something you are curious about, please let
Pastor Kevin know. Call him at 505-8675, e-mail him at kwaters214@gmail.com,
or see him in person.
